Fresh Wort Kit Czech Pilsner 15 Litre

This wort kit is an all mash / full grain 15 litre kit straight from a Sydney Boutique Brewery! Just add 5 litres of water and a S23 Saflager yeast, if brewing cool, (or a S04 Safale yeast at temps up to 20 deg C) and you will produce a quality beer that will rival any commercial boutique beer! The brilliant Golden colour results from the combination of locally grown Pilsner & Munich malts. Generous additions of Saaz hops create a pronounced floral spicy finish and wonderful herbaceous aroma. The use of German Carapils malt, NZ Superalpha bittering hop and a combination of NZ B Saaz 20mins before end-boil plus Czech Saaz right at end-boil, create a great pils/lager with perfect balance between strong bitterness and sweet malt finish along with the very pronounced floral character so typical of this style. This is a really popular Pilsner, although it is not typical of the smooth roundedness of a true Czech Pilsner such as Pilsner Urquell or even the Czech Budweiser, however, anyone who enjoys these beers will be very happy with this great brew kit. In fact, our brewer uses this very same recipe for his own St Peter’s Pilsner which is now sold in a number of well-known up-market inner Sydney outlets!
